它的背後可是鼎鼎大名大家耳熟能詳 Château Calon-Ségur *愛心酒*
西元十八世紀時，Nicolas-Alexandre, marquis de Ségur伯爵入主莊園，伯爵可說是當時葡萄酒界的指標性人物。當時伯爵還同時擁有 Château Lafite (拉菲) 和 Château Latour (拉圖)兩個五大名莊，儘管後兩個五大莊的名氣及規模都大於 Château Calon-Ségur，但伯爵卻對Château Calon-Ségur 情有獨鍾，就有人問他喜歡哪支酒時? 酒莊主人回答：我人在拉菲 (Lafite)、拉圖 (Latour) 釀酒，但心卻留在Calon 「heart was with Calon」
Ségur伯爵過世後，由於繼任者經營不善，使莊園陷入了嚴重的財政危機，不得不出售，到了1824年由 Lestapis 家族所擁有；在Lestapis家族的管理下，酒莊在1855年評鑑中列名三級酒莊，今日莊園主人Mme Gasqueton至今仍住在莊園城堡裡，她已故的丈夫Philippe是medoc產區最傳統的葡萄酒釀酒師之一，當 Philippe 於1995年去世之時，許多人都預言 Mme Gasqueton 不可能堅守住丈夫留下的Château Calon-Ségur 和 Chateau Capbern Gasqueton產業，但卻是 Mme Gasqueton 異常堅強，她接手了丈夫留下的工作，直到2012年9月，高齡87歲 Gasqueton 夫人過世，由於 Gasqueton 家族無力負擔法國政府高額遺產稅，只好將家族產業 Chateau Calon Segur 及 Chateau Capbern Gasqueton 賣給 Suravenir 保險集團，尊重專業之下，釀酒團隊並沒有改變，沿用 Gasqueton 夫人在世時聘任的 Vincent Millet 繼續負責
Chateau Capbern Gasqueton 採用 57%的梅洛、33% Cabernet Sauvignon 和 10% Cabernet Franc 釀製而成，在50% 新的法國橡木桶中熟成17個月。米勒先生認為，該酒莊的2014年份與2009年份相似，十分精緻、給予高度的評價，認為酒質渾厚，卻又不失活潑，充分地展現了2014年份以及Saint-Estephe聖艾斯泰夫產區的特色。

葡萄園面積60公頃，位於5米深的砂礫岩床之上，還混雜著沙土，部分地方則混雜著石灰石和粘土。葡萄樹平均樹齡38年，種植葡萄品種：Cabernet Sauvignon 33%、Merlot 57%、Cabernet Franc 10%
Chateau Capbern 2014Robert Parker Tasting Notes: The 2014 Capbern (the now non-appended name for what was formerly Capbern-Gasqueton) has a clean and pure bouquet, very Pauillac in style with graphite-tinged black fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin, quite minerally in the mouth, great tension with a touch of piquancy on the finish. There is plenty of energy here and a very long aftertaste. Tasted twice with consistent notes, this comes highly recommended notwithstanding its value-for-money.
Wine Spectator Tasting Notes: A fresh, pure style, with an unadorned beam of cassis acting as the main component, while light white pepper, lilac and iron hints fill in the background. Racy finish. Best from 2018 through 2024. 5,000 cases made.
