英國葡萄酒雜誌品醇客 (Decanter) 2007年將 Sassicaia 評為義大利的「五大酒莊」之一； 和 ( Gaja) 、( Bruno Giacosa) 、(Tenuta dell Ornellaia)、(Dal Forno Romano)齊名。
知名品酒師克拉克（Oz Clarke）曾經敘述到他首次在1977年品嚐到一瓶1968年份的薩西開亞，馬上直覺反應是：這是波爾多一等頂級（如拉費堡、拉圖堡）的好酒，但貼錯了標籤！1978年英國最權威的《醒酒瓶》（Decanter）雜誌在倫敦舉行世界卡貝耐紅酒的「盲目評審」，結果五位評審中有二位首獎選中了薩西開亞，薩西開亞終於舉世聞名。
Sassicaia是義大利「超級托斯卡納」的代表作之一，它源於40年代熱愛梅多克葡萄酒的 Incisa della Rocchetta侯 爵，當時他在妻子位於 Bolgheri的San Guido酒莊，在Giacomo Tachis的協助下，種下了卡本內，也是Sassicaia的前身。後來Sassicaia 從1968年份起開始正式裝瓶對外出售，終於不再是Piero與 Lodovico Antinori 的實驗品, 如果說有一款酒激發並帶領義大利葡萄酒走向現代化，那非Sassicaia莫屬!
超級托斯卡納的風潮，在1985年份的Sassicaia 達到高峰，Sassicaia拿下Robert Parker 100分，那個時候的100分酒極其少有，此外，Wine Spectator: 99分 是極為可觀的成績，葡萄酒大師Jancis Robinson 對Sassicaia美譽不斷。Bolgheri Sassicaia 幾乎就是其專屬產區。此酒代表的歷史與其實力，絕對值得愛好義大利酒收藏家,在近幾年來已經成本葡萄酒拍賣會上的嬌客,無不一次缺席!

Robert Parker Tasting Notes: The 2013 Bolgheri Sassicaia is released 30 years after the death of Tenuta San Guido founder, Mario Incisa della Rocchetta, and in the same year that his son Nicolò celebrated his 80th birthday. This is a wine of excellent execution, beautiful balance and seamless intensity. The bouquet opens slowly to reveal delicate aromas of dark fruit and integrated spice that build in steady strength. That forward momentum, which is so specific to Sassicaia, is what ultimately brings us confidence in the wine’s remarkable ageing potential. The mouthfeel delivers freshness and power, but in measured doses, with long and silky persistence. The 2013 vintage should be set aside for ten more years.
A racy, tightly wound style, this offers violet, black currant, cherry, wild herb, spice and mineral flavors matched to a dense, smooth texture. Shows finesse and intensity in a seemingly effortless manner. The aftertaste is long and focused. Should provide years of pleasure. Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. Best from 2019 through 2035. 18,000 cases made.
