有生必嘗的Barolo 的儒者 ﹕Aldo Conterno — 近幾年義大利酒界中痛失三位天王級的傳奇人物，Quintarelli 酒莊的莊主 Giuseppe Quintarelli、Biondi Santi 酒莊的莊主 Franco Biondi Santi，和Aldo Conterno都離開我們了，而 Conterno 是Barolo 最具創新的代表人物 收藏 Barolo大師級的酒…機會越來越少了..尤其是在他 2012年夏天去世以後….一生心力全部奉獻給 Barolo 最佳釀酒者 !! … what a wonderful wine！what a barolo！
如果你像 Tom Hanks 在電影 Cast Away 《劫後重生》中那樣落難在孤島上，而讓你只帶一瓶酒，你會選哪一瓶？ 多年前我看《華爾街日報》夫妻檔酒評人 Dorothy Gaiter 與 John Brecher 的一篇文章，便是以此開始。他們兩只聳一聳肩，便同時回答﹕Barolo ！ 這是我迷上 Barolo 的開始!!!
今天如果有人問我同一個問題，我會不用思索的回答﹕Granbussia！ 好的 Barolo 如天上星星，但往往太 challenging 與 intellectual ，幾乎都要正襟危坐上半天才能一窺其風采。 Aldo Conterno 的 Granbussia 可說是少有的例外。
Aldo Conterno 旗下類別的酒款早已獲獎無數，中高等級酒款都是酒莊限量配額,中高等級的酒一上市就進到收藏家的酒窖，不然就流到佳士得或蘇富比等拍賣會場，現在不下手，以後就到拍賣會去搶標吧! Aldo Conterno 絕對是Barolo的首選， 不管你將它定義成傳統派 或 現代派，在嘗盡了各式各樣的Barolo之外,在前往 Barolo路上，不可能不經過這間名門酒莊，不然你就不算真正的喝過好的Barolo !!!—限量只有各12瓶!
在1950年代23歲的Conterno遠渡到美國學習葡萄酒貿易，期間並被徵招進入義大利軍隊服役，跟隨美國軍隊參與韓戰，這段艱辛的歷程訓練出他堅毅不拔的個性，對往後的釀酒事業影響極大，1961年他回到義大利的家族產業，並和哥哥共同繼承了父親的Giacomo Conterno酒莊 ( Barolo裡的 DRC)，1969年，他們兄弟倆分道揚鑣，他買下”Favot”農場建立了 “Poderi Aldo Conterno” 酒莊，實現他自己的夢想!! Conterno在人生的最後幾年裡因病已極少現身，在 Barolo裡你永遠會感受到他神奇般的無所不在，因為你已經永遠再也見不到他了!!
Aldo Conterno酒 莊擁有的25公頃葡萄園，位於Monforte d’Alba著名的Bussia斜坡上，被認定為Barolo區最好的產區之一。Granbussia Barolo 僅在最佳年份限量生產為 Conterno 旗艦酒款，從1971年至最新上市的2005年份酒款，總共僅釀製17個年份。乃採旗下三大園(Romirasco、Cicala、Colonnello) 菁華老藤葡萄分開釀造後，依照最傳統的Barolo釀製方式，且依收成年份狀態調配，大略以70%、15%和15%的比例混釀而成。從收成、釀製到上市歷時8年，傳統浸皮發酵約60天，斯洛伐尼亞大型橡木桶陳釀32個月。外觀顏色呈寶石紅帶淺石榴紅光澤，有極佳的玫瑰花、成熟莓果香氣及淡淡的香草豆氣息。口感複雜多變，酒體飽滿，巴薩米可和水果的餘味在口中慢慢化開，持久而綿長!
Aldo Conterno 有著純正義大利紳士的謙遜及友善的舉止，無法掩飾他本身與生俱來的坦率及專業能力。Aldo Conterno 於 2012年初夏過世，一生心力全部奉獻給 Barolo，他離去無疑是 Barolo 產區的一大損失, Aldo Conterno 可稱得上是Barolo 的儒者

Aldo Conterno Barolo Granbussia Riserva 2006
Antonio Galloni Tasting note: Dried roses, savory herbs, leather, anise and tobacco are some of the many notes that emerge from the 2006 Barolo Riserva Granbussia. Firm, austere yet gorgeous, the 2006 is going to require quite a bit of time to fully come together. There is an inner sweetness in the fruit and aromatics that recalls the Romirasco, while the perception of structure and acidity are those of Cicala. Dried flowers, spices and mint add the final notes of complexity. Patience will be key. The 2006 spent 60 days on the skins, followed by 44 months in cask.
Wine Spectator Tasting Note : A terrific red from start to finish. The fireworks start with aromas of cherry, licorice, sandalwood and tar, augmented by intense flavors and a juicy texture. Long, complete and complex, offering beautifully integrated tannins. Drink now through 2030. 250 cases made.
Granbussia Riserva … 每年僅釀造一桶,從收成、釀製到上市,總共必須要歷時八年以久的時間，傳統浸皮發酵約60天，斯洛伐尼亞大型橡木桶陳釀32個月。外觀顏色呈寶石紅帶淺石榴紅光澤，有極佳的玫瑰花、成熟莓果香氣及淡淡的香草豆氣息。口感複雜多變，酒體飽滿，巴薩米可和水果的餘味在口中慢慢化開，持久而綿長!! 這位去世於2012年的巴羅洛巨匠不僅是現代巴羅洛的早期先鋒之一，還是過去50年內當地最受尊敬的釀酒師之一。錯過這次以後,也不曉得後年出廠是否能拿到配額呢！

海拔高度最高的Romirasco可算是 Aldo Conterno 最頂級的葡萄園，土壤組成維40%的黏土與60%的石灰石，西南向的坡面，讓葡萄可以有最充沛的日曬時數，園中的葡萄藤約為55~70年的老藤，傳統浸皮發酵約30天，斯洛伐尼亞大型橡木桶 陳釀30個月，Romirasco的砂質土壤使生長在此的葡萄所讓造出來的酒體飽滿強勁又展現出纖細又多花香柔順及高雅。
Aldo Conterno Barolo Romirasco 2009Robert Parker Tasting Note : The 2009 Barolo Romirasco is an incredibly rich and powerful wine and by far the most elaborate of the bunch. Those oak-driven notes of spice and toasted nut will require many more years of bottle aging until they fully integrate, but the wine certainly shows the girth and consistency to bring it forward over time. Lingering notes of mocha, espresso, cola, dark spice, plum and dried blackberries complete the finish. Don’t even think of opening this bottle anytime soon. Anticipated maturity: 2018-2040.
Wine Spectator Tasting Note : Intense and fragrant, sporting cherry, licorice, leather and spice aromas and flavors, with an underlying mineral element that melds with the tannins to leave a chalky sensation on the finish. Very harmonious and long. Best from 2016 through 2029. 150 cases made
