義大利 Brunello di Montalcino 「Cru」理念- The Wines of Altesino Brunello di Montalcino“Montosoli “ 2011 & Brunello di Montalcino 2011 Offer

Altesino Montosoli 2011jpgJames Suckling Tasting Notes- “”A very ripe style with prune, berry and salted-nut aromas and flavors. Full body, savory intensity and a long, flavorful finish. Lots of juicy, fabulous fruit. Shows the greatness of the vineyard. Drink or hold.”

Points: 94

Robert Parker Tasting note: The 2011 Brunello di Montalcino Montosoli provides us with one of the most beautiful tastes of Brunello in 2011. The secret here is that fruit is sourced from the Montosoli cru in the northern side of the appellation that performed very nicely in this warm vintage. The wine reaches excellent balance between power and elegance. It leaves a statement but never feels overwhelming. That intensity is presented in terms of fruit freshness, cherry, blackberry and currant. It also comes forth as spice, tobacco and leather. The mouthfeel is exceedingly smooth and silky. The tannins are integrated and soft. Montosoli is planted to a special clone that is grafted over when the vines die. The clone has never been replaced. Because the vineyard is located on the north side of the appellation, it was protected from the heat this vintage. This wine will be released in April 2016.

The Wines of Altesino Brunello di Montalcino 2011 Offer , / Toscana / Italy Offer – Wine Enthusiast : 93

Altesino BDM 2011jpgWine Enthusiast Tasting Notes- “Fragrant and sleek, this opens with scents of blue flower, pressed powder, perfumed berry and chopped herb. The balanced, full-bodied palate delivers licorice, ripe black cherry, clove and tobacco while firm, velvety tannins lend structure and finesse. “

Robert Parker Tasting note: The 2011 Brunello di Montalcino shows a very distinct personality that separates it from its peers. There’s a dark, mysterious and masculine side to this wine that is evident from first impact. The bouquet offers infinite layers of black fruit, plum, spice, cumin seed and crushed clove. You get a great sense of moist earth, tobacco and forest floor. Nothing is obvious. The wine keeps you guessing sip after sip. It would benefit from more years of cellar aging, but it’s really not that far off from optimal drinking.
